Some said he was our future at 3rd base. I thought he'd have to prove he could hit D1 pitching for that to happen.
He couldn't. It didn't.
Former LSUE infielder that was brought in to take over at 3rd. Couldn't beat out former TCH infielder Tyler "Shug" Girourd...who has hit the cover off the ball and helped lead the team in hitting, along with Dex Kjerstad. We still haven't gotten a LSUE player that could effectively make the transition to hitting D1 pitching.

Because you don't see just 90+mph fastballs in D1 like at lsue. Pitchers in D1 have a lot more movement, lower levels tend to try to just overpower hitters
