Turbine, do you really not understand? Or are you just trying to argue?
Look at the difference between now, and prior to Hud's hiring. The next guy comes in and builds it a little bigger. Its a step by step process. It will take two or three "1 year coaches" to get where we want to be. There are few exceptions to this (Bobby Bowden at Florida State and Frank Beamer at Virginia Tech off the top of my head).
Alright turbine we can either go for up and coming coaches who will win big like Hud or old men looking to settle. If you prefer the former you'll have to deal with this for a while. As the program grows, so will the longevity of your coaches.
Because it is an SEC school which we can not compete with in salary or even come close, I do not have a problem with what SF said. Now if he would have the same attitude if HUD interviews with Tulane or even SMU I would totally disagree with him. I don't like the comment but I see his angle. It would almost be like a college coach not helping a sophomore athlete get drafted for the team's interests.
