what's funny is the saints' WRs (minus Graham and Colson) are overrated. This would be a terrible hire imo. Of course I don't know much about his coaching history so I could be wrong
Wouldn't a terrible hire at Tulane be the norm?
I could never comprehend whyHud was a "candidate" for this job. What a shotty place to work. No fan base, no focus on athletcs, etc. That'd be a huge step down for Hud IMO.
All the Saints receivers run good routes, catch well, block well, are explosive, and do not try to draw too much attention to themselves. No none are the level of say Randy Moss in his hay day but they all do what they are told to do, and that is coaching.
None of these guys would be nearly effective without Breese, and Payton. They spead the ball around keeping all in line.
Really I don't know if this guy would be a good head coach, but you have to be special to coach Tulane to average.
Look at the time frame...you give a kid enough flash and naked girls, you can get him to go anywhere. Not that any of that ever happened at the U. *rolls eyes*
How about when Curtis Johnson got Marshall Faulk out of New Orleans to commit to San Diego State?
*rolls eyes* <--- I can do it too.
They did that because lsu&a&mc wouldn't let him play offense... same way we got Brian Mitchell.
In this case you could be. Curtis Johsnon is a very well organized good position coach & has a recieving corps that is good on the field & quiet off the field. His guys are the definition of true professionals & he is the same.
I saw him talking with Rocky Arceneaux & Perry Clark last night. There is some teeth in this rumor.
