My favorite new uniform combination for 2011 is...

Looks like Hud hit a homerun with the uniforms IMO. Now, if we could just do something about the helmet...triple fleur des lis, interlocking UL, or just a plane "L" would all be equally perfect.

I agree, the opposite of before really, almost a muscle busting (out of the pants leg) look.

and why did they use black as the outlining (sleeves and neck) color on the white shirts?

They probably got away from the "UL" on the pants so we can avoid putting "Lafayette" on the uniform. I think them's the rules on using "UL" on athletic uniforms.

They are not great, but not hideous at least. They are different with the fleur de lis. Can't tell about the helmet. Is it the same as before? I was hoping for something different in the helmet, even the black one with Ragin Cajuns. Red wording on a red helmet with the black face mask doesn't look good, never liked it. A white face mask would look better.

I did notice black Nike shoes regardless of uniform. Could that be an indication that Nike is where we are headed next year?

Anyway, we all have different opinions. This is a one time, first look opinion. The unis will grow on me. Anyway, discussion is over, because this is IT! They look good enough to win in. Now let's beat the dog pile out of OSU.

pretty sure the helmet didnt change at all. i dont think the "Ragin' Cajuns" has ever been in red wording on the red helmet.

but i do agree about the "Ragin' Cajuns" black helmet. i was really looking forward to seeing it and i still think that it would look great with these uniforms.

I think it would be one of the better combinations also esp. under the lights of a night game. With that said the white on white is certainly the cleanest!

I used that link that was posted for the Russell design page...inserting that dark gray in some of the uni looked very very good. I am not a fan of these threads but that's my opinion. Worse than what we had before and looks like we still have the flanking chili leper numbers???
