Knew that was going to be a rebuttal but as there is no option for that, as the tootsie pop tag line says, the world may never know.

Also I just realized if I were to read into actual post's topic the black pants should win by default due to the wording, as the black is the "NEW" combo. Kind of a loaded question. if you ask me. I just ain't that smart to get it sometimes.

The problem with the red and black is contrast ---Never put yellow and white together or a deep red and black---No contrast ergo no readability!!!!

I like the Red top/Black pants, Red top/White pants, White top/White pants. If we wear Black on certain occaisions, so what. I think the Black helmet would look good too. The font is funky, but if we have to wait a year, not that big a deal. I like these better than what we had, so an improvement is always good. The use of the Fleur de lis is pretty cool. Not everyone will be happy, not possible, but it's not going to matter when Coach Hud gets us to the New Orleans Bowl and beyond.

I can see me liking the uniforms if I see them hoisting a bowl trophy. I think any of the color combinations will look good as they're striding over the goal line or laying somebody flat. If I'm sitting in the Superdome and jamming with my buds while the Cajuns are putting a big butt-whooping on someone... anyone... in any combination of these uniforms... I'm going to dig these uniforms. Uh-huh... yes sir.

• Why does Louisiana-Lafayette always look like a D-II team? Seriously, that uni number font is just a disaster. If you like subtle details, though, you'll enjoy the fleur-de-lis pattern on the shoulders. Additional photos here.
