Brad, I can say this with total confidence and honesty.

I would hire you before I would hire Tim Floyd.

For what it's worth, I think Brad has grown up quite a bit in the last year. The more I watch this horrific team (with a lot of INDIVIDUAL TALENT), the more I think we NEED someone with some spunk and attitude to bring a CULTURE shock to the program. We are the LAUGHING STOCK of the league, and as little six years ago, we were one of the elite, year in and year out. (And Brad was a part of that.) Hard to believe I am saying this, but I would be excited to see what Boyd can do. I mean, I would be a little worried about professionalism, he can kick all the chairs he wants and it would STILL be better than what we are seeing now. If I had a choice, I would give him an interim tag on a short leash starting with tomorrow's game, and see what he can do with the existing talent, under pressure and short timeframe.

I have to believe that there are a lot of coaches that could infuse some spunk and attitude into this program but most would have more experience and have proved themselves beyond an AAU level.

I don't know what the problem is........people on this board are not going to decide who the next coach is anyway. Brad can submit his name for the job, get an interview, and if he has the right stuff.............then he's the man. And if he becomes "the man", I really can't wait to see what happens next!

Seems to me the new head coach gets to pick his staff, so depending on who that new head coach is, you can decide whether or not to apply as an assistant and if selected, then you are on your way.

Dude, look at the names on that list.. Are you kidding me? Billy Gilespie?! Anybody see his last contract? He's not coaching some mid major for 200k. Brad Boyd is almost the top vote getter?! Brad Boyd?!? No offense Brad, but you've done nothing to even be considered a head coach at this level. The guy played ball here, thats it. How about we hire Mike Southall to assists Brad? He played here too ya know.. Tim Floyd is a cheater. Are you guys so frustated that you want to revert to cheating?! C'mon man...

Butch is past his time as a HC.

Neither would want to inherit the mess we have here.

Boyd needs to start at Lafayette Middle and work his way up. _
I don't think we have a mess---I think this would be a dream to walk into with the returnees and what we have coming in and what the new coach can bring---At ULM they have 2-3 commits from guys that were committed to UNLV!!!!!

We had two guys who were committed to UNLV also and one is here not realizing his potential after he was nearly kicked off the team and the other was able to play for one semester sparingly.
