I want to agree, but I'm sorry, this entire existence is self-induced. Poor management, poor forecasting, and poor execution. This all equals a culture of pacifism.

I was not a fan of the Des hire and thought we should’ve capitalized on all the Napier success for a proven leader.

However, the only really comparable year for me of Des to Napier is last year. Des had an experienced QB and a fairly healthy team.

This season is very disappointing, but objectively, expecting any coach to overcome the rash of injuries, especially in the OL to go with the inexperience at QB is not based in reality. Everything should be evaluated after the season: Coaches, training staff, strength and conditioning, practice methods, etc. I honestly think the majority of it is bad luck, but there may be some incompetency in the chain as well.

That aside, the administration will say the injuries (especially losing the starting QB in Game 1) make it difficult to judge the season. They will also say a coach deserves a chance to turn things around when one bad year occurs.

I understand people are voicing frustrations here and simply stating opinions here. That is the purpose of a message board. However, in this case those opinions are having zero impact on decisions. Now, if things are this rough a year from now, more folks in decision making authority may listen.
What I would like to see is firing the hot-headed liberal Professors but who would they replace them with, more liberals>
Has anyone seen the Athletic Department Staff list, last time I looked, it was close to a 100 with: coaches, assistant coaches, grad assistants, Equipment MGR and his staff, medical staff, AD staff with heads and Assistants. No wonder we're in hock up to our asses.

Why doesnt ncaa add points during games to teams with lower budgets and less NIL, similar to a bowling or golf handicap. It would even things out, make things more exciting, and even make the vegas lines somewhat more real

You can't blame this season solely on injuries. The Cajuns looked lost and were underperforming since the very first quarter of the first game.

    This.

No one was injured for the Rice game. We had our new stud QB and stud WR we got from SEC programs. Only to score a whopping 12 points and have a phenomenal 88 passing yards.

It's obvious that they thought the SEC QB/WR combo was going to carry the whole team. Then, they fell flat on their faces, the staff was left dumbfounded on how to deal with it. When the coach said "I don't know", he wasn't lying.
