Maybe we can pull an LSU on this one. We can say we are building a dormitory that just looks like a stadium. Then Huey Long will pass it through. Sorry, couldn’t help myself…..
There is ZERO chance we make a head coaching change at the end of the season regardless of the final record. The budget deficit is a big reason why. As it is, the academic folks are up in arms about athletics not taking a big enough hit to address the problem. Many don't realize the department has taken a 4 million dollar hit. That aside, the administration will say the injuries (especially losing the starting QB in Game 1) make it difficult to judge the season. They will also say a coach deserves a chance to turn things around when one bad year occurs.
I understand people are voicing frustrations here and simply stating opinions here. That is the purpose of a message board. However, in this case those opinions are having zero impact on decisions. Now, if things are this rough a year from now, more folks in decision making authority may listen.
what is wild about this decimated by injuries team has had opportunities to win every game we lost except the Mizzou game. Just can't get it done.
Yes they do. TSAB worries about Louisiana at every turn. They never seize at bashing us or trying to hold us down politically when we have any sort of success via on the field, academically, or the name battle that we have now won for our Atheltic brand !
They are obsessed with us for some odd reason.
They are now doing it to Tulane again due to their recent success in football.
Seriously what do they have to worry about when it comes to UL? They are superior to us in every single way. We are just a punching bag for them and they like to laugh at us. Not because we are inferior but because we act like we are something we are not, nor have we ever been. While some of their fans have little man’s syndrome we give them every single reason to laugh at us. It’s not insecurity, it’s hilarity. We deserve it for the most part.
We're the Rodney Dangerfield of state college athletics....
