Does NCAA mandate what the coaches do, or just the total number? Do we just need 4 coaches or do we have to have a head coach, a hitting coach and a pitching coach plus 1(?)

Most head coaches specialize in pitching or hitting. Aly doesn't which means she will have to hire some with those skill sets.

She was a special hitter when she was in college and pitched for the Silver Bullets vs men’s baseball teams. I’m pretty sure she can do both.

Baseball pitcher isn't the same as fastpitch softball pitcher. In 25 years at Bama she never was the hitting or pitching coach. It's safe to say she doesn't specialize it those areas and that why she will hire others to fill those roles.

We hope she will hire others....but at this point who knows what the plan is.
