From all reports that I received today the Cajuns still don't have a pitching coach who has accepted an offer.

I don't know the money side of our softball program...making enough to cover costs, profitable or not. I do know Louisiana Softball has been the most successful sports program in school history. We are a recognized nationally and are in the top 10 of all time wins in the nation.

Are we gonna la tech this program like they WBB? I hope not. NCAA Softball has become a big deal on TV over the past 8 to 10 years. We need to maintain our prominence in this sport, it certainly helps our branding.

Just an observation as much money is going into the football program which we should be doing along with now the NIL money that Coach Q has been able to generate, I am not sure there is as much focus on flowing money to Softball like it needs to be unless Coach Ali actually can generate that her self like Coach Q has. The spring sports in the past just didn't require money to players directly like it does now.
Money equals recruiting and keeping Talent now sadly. Just an observation.

With NIL we have to be sure we arent just using it to pay people we would already have.regardless, shouldnt we only use it to get people we normally wouldnt get. It is like the increase in football scholarships, will that lead to better players or just handing out extra scholarahips to people who would normally be walkons

Does NCAA mandate what the coaches do, or just the total number? Do we just need 4 coaches or do we have to have a head coach, a hitting coach and a pitching coach plus 1(?)
