The bolt stock will go up for every team that joins this conference.

Every member will be more attractive than they are now.

Not true. Although soft, some support from current PAC members is prevalent on X. Suggesting Louisiana as a travel partner with TXST if UTSA/Memphis/Tulane fall through.

It means that despite having some good recent success, even in football, we aren't seen as a way to upgrade or be a good replacement in a "better" conference.

Probably has several years left, I would imagine he wants to keep busy since his wife past a few years back. That's my guess.

It's two different era's, so hard to compare. Authement built facilities, half way promoted Athletics, just like Savoie. I've been around for both. I would say our UL Athletics brand has shrunk, not grown. We had a lot of success under Authement, and I'm not a fan of him at all, but the 80's in Basketball (many top UL attendance records and national recognition). Softball was successful, yeah the coach had a lot to do with it, but he could have stopped it. Baseball was successful and except for the winning percentage, I would say football was more successful. Our schedules were 10 times better than todays. I've seen Ok. State, Texas A&M and Alabama at Cajun field. We played Memphis, Tulane, Southern Miss and many others on a regular basis. Our home schedules are pathetic these days. Nobody cares about most of the Sun Belt Teams. Our Brand has not grown under Savoie, we have not gained any ground and many Universities have past us by while we sit around waiting and waiting, instead of being proactive.

I stand corrected, although from your comment, it seems even the soft supporters only mention us as a fallback to the fallback to the fallback.

Again, even if it is, and we aren’t going because it makes zero sense, not even being mentioned beyond some random tweeter post is again, troubling.

Texas State all this publicity. Programs to the East of us mentioned. No one cares about us.

I'll post about rumors of Louisiana to the Pac tomorrow to generate some publicity for us.
