"We've likely seen the last of major conference realignment, at least until there's another round of television contract negotiations in the next decade. But the surviving Pac-12 teams, Washington State and Oregon State, are still finalizing the conference's return, when it could very well become the premier non-power league in college football."

Not surprisingly, no Louisiana in sight. This board is the only place in America that UL and PAC-12 can be found on the same pages.
The fear of rejection is greater than free publicity.
You will never go anywhere without mentions.
This.
Even if it would be a horrible deal for us and we'd have to say "No way, Jose.", not ever even being mentioned by an outside source, even if just some random college sports podcaster in his mom's basement, that "This Louisiana program could be a good replacement" is concerning to me.
It means that despite having some good recent success, even in football, we aren't seen as a way to upgrade or be a good replacement in a "better" conference.
Fool's gold. As soon as there's a better offer, Oregon State and Washington State will bolt.
