If Georgia State leaves, don't sleep on Kennesaw State. And, before some of you throw a fit, remember when we added App and Georgia Southern? Some of you were suicidal. This would be very much the same. I would rather WKU, but, trust me, Kennesaw State will be in our league one day.

Yup. The mods on the CSSN board have done nothing to keep the wanna move ups like Kennesaw, Missouri whatever and the like from trolling the SBC board. KSU would actually be a mirror of Georgia State...big enrollment, attendance at sporting events, not so much.

Personally, go get WKU from CDOA. Yeah, their kinda Neckster light, but not a move up

One could argue Atlanta as a city is now well north of where downtown/GA state is. Evidenced by the braves move "north" . So Kennesaw state may have more potential than GA state. Although probably not in research. Also k state grew the right way or normal way. GA state was gifted facilities left over from the Olympics and braves move and gifted students from the merger with the Jr College system

That would be my guess as well. I don't think the Texas schools want any part of Texas State. The question is would GSU take the offer. AAC could stand pat as well.

If GSU bolts, the question becomes who do you add to the East? I mean, teams you could reasonably get (I don't think East Carolina fits that statement).

Is that Texas st's fault or fear?

Good luck to them. I believe the AAC media rights deal is up in 2025 and there is no way it won't be reduced after losing the Houston and DFW markets. I wouldn't be surprised if ESPN has renegotiation rights before then, if the lose major members.

According to the information I just read, the current AAC media rights deal is signed through 2031-2032, but that is without the GOR.
