    5. Road Trip to A&M back in '02. In honor of '96 (not present).
    4. Road Trip to Funroe in I wanna say 2005.
    3. Road Trip in 99 to play Tulane in the Dome.

    2. Tulane in the Swamp. A friend of mine jumped the barrier on student side, broke through the Tulane line, got to midfield while the Cajuns we're lining up for kick off and began an arc maneuver curving to the tunnel. He said when he got to the top of the tunnel a cop car had the backseat door open, and he got in.

The cold Halloween weekend game in 1993 (Jake’s freshman year) was against San Jose State. Spartans had a future pro QB in Jeff Garcia. Jake outdueled him that day. We did defeat La Tech that year. It was Thanksgiving weekend and the victory earned the Cajuns a share of the Big West title. My wife wonders how I remember things like that with no effort but can’t remember where I put my keys 5 minutes ago.

There was A Cajun 95 yard TD pass in that game. I think it was Pollard to track star Harold Pollard. That was the first victory I experienced as a Cajun student.

Yep we reeled off 5 straight against Memphis, southern miss, Tulane, Arkansas st and northern Illinois going into that game. The year before we were 2-9. Even as a youngster I remember how electric Lafayette was for USL football. That whole season was my best Cajun field memory.

Thanks for the correction. I also have a great Jake radio memory with Jake beating Tulane in the Super Dome on a late or last possession touchdown. I was on hurricane catastrophe duty in Atlanta. Maybe Tulane was still on WWL megaphone radio for me to catch it. That made my whole month in Atlanta tolerable.
