It’s relevant. The guy can’t help himself when it comes to posting about marlin on here or on social media. It’s not a good look and very unprofessional. If you don’t think T-Joe or Maggard take things like this into account you are sadly mistaken. They don’t want someone leading the basketball program that engages in silly spats on social media. You say mediocrity, but since the 2010-2011 season, only one school has won the SBC Tournament and advanced to the NCAA Tournament with an automatic bid more than Louisiana. Georgia State (4), who finished dead last in 2022-23 with a 10-21 record, 3-15 in conference.

I know there is hyperbole in that post. Fact is 23 of 32 leagues are regularly one bid leagues. Some years it is 24. The quality of play last season improved greatly due to the new teams. I believe the SBC was in the mid teens in rankings last season. My eyes told me quality of SBC play had improved last season when watching games. Example is two of Marshall’s players transferred to major schools.

I think it explains your position, but it isn’t something I agree with. I will not stop giving my opinion because some perceive it to be “negative.” We have had 1 20 win season in the last 5 years. Our lack of consistent success has everything to do with declined support in Cajuns basketball. If you want to attribute it to negative words and energy, that’s fine by me.
