This move right here pretty much screams that UL athletics screams mediocrity. Congrats to all involved in this deal.

. . . this place is like the MSM . . . one screams MEDIOCRITY and everybody posts the same word . . .
You say that like its supposed to make things better. This conference is so horrible when it comes to basketball. So every 4 years, you are the best of the worst. Hooray. So you settle for mediocrity. I prefer not too. I still think Marlin has something on the AD, UL president or both. That is the only way he has remained. This one bid league is a joke.
I know there is hyperbole in that post. Fact is 23 of 32 leagues are regularly one bid leagues. Some years it is 24. The quality of play last season improved greatly due to the new teams. I believe the SBC was in the mid teens in rankings last season. My eyes told me quality of SBC play had improved last season when watching games. Example is two of Marshall’s players transferred to major schools.
I think it explains your position, but it isn’t something I agree with. I will not stop giving my opinion because some perceive it to be “negative.” We have had 1 20 win season in the last 5 years. Our lack of consistent success has everything to do with declined support in Cajuns basketball. If you want to attribute it to negative words and energy, that’s fine by me.
Every program needs two types of supporters. Die hards that support regardless of the outcome or coach. They sustain the program in hard times. The other are bandwagon fans. They’re quick to enjoy success and quicker to quit a bad or marginal coach. They force the AD to do the hard things like fire your friend.
