Let’s compare apples to apples.

If you to compare championship games they had no where near capacity for those. In 2019 the crowd was 18.5k. In 2018 they had 15k.

If you just want to compare largest crowds we put 41k into Cajun field and at the time it was a 31k seat stadium.

I realize the average attendance, but that wasn’t my original question or point in the post. I was wondering why if their fan base is all that why did they not show up for the championships. We seem to be opposite fan bases we get in the teens low 20s for regular season and then in the 30s in the ship. And they get good support during the year and only 18 and 15 in their 2 host games.

Because despite the fact that many here complain and bietch about the plethora of reasons why any particular game is not attended, it is apparent, and this shows that such is not just the case here.

If we had equivalent weather as them for the ‘ship, ie a downpour, we would’ve been lucky to have 10k in the stands.

I don’t recall a down pour in the championship games. I do recall the regular season game we won there being really cold and wet when our deep snapper had lots of issues. You sure you not getting your games mixed up?

Yes you are correct. I just looked at the recap of both. And the 2nd looked like pretty blue sky’s in all the pictures and they only had 18k.

What this tells me is that App has a loyal/consistent fan base and Lafayette just shows up for the party/cool thing to do. We gotta figure out how to make Cajun games cool again like they were under hud cause obviously winning ain’t enough.
