Johnny Lumpkin Selected to John Mackey Award Watch List

Louisiana Football tight end Johnny Lumpkin has been selected to the 2022 John Mackey Award Preseason Watch List, the award's committee announced on Friday.

Lumpkin is one of just 13 tight ends from a Group of 5 program named on the list and the only tight end from a Sun Belt Conference program honored.

The Atlanta, Ga., made 13 starts and appeared in all 14 games for the Ragin' Cajuns in 2021, recording eight catches for 141 yards and a touchdown. His score came against Georgia Southern, a 22-yard grab.

In his career, Lumpkin has caught 20 passes for 265 yards and two touchdowns.
