I don’t recall a down pour in the championship games. I do recall the regular season game we won there being really cold and wet when our deep snapper had lots of issues. You sure you not getting your games mixed up?

Yes you are correct. I just looked at the recap of both. And the 2nd looked like pretty blue sky’s in all the pictures and they only had 18k.

If you to compare championship games they had no where near capacity for those. In 2019 the crowd was 18.5k. In 2018 they had 15k.

If you just want to compare largest crowds we put 41k into Cajun field and at the time it was a 31k seat stadium.
    This!

One thing he did was develop personal relationships with lots and lots of fans and their wives. He also had the assistance of a fine and willing spouse.

Hud and his wife were socialites. People in Lafayette wanted to be part of that (many were with events and stuff), so through word of mouth and “coolness”, more folks wanted to be seen at Cajun Field.

Napier comes in all boring. Doesn’t get out amongst the let’s be cool crowd, but he won football games. He got us in the Top 25.

But he wasn’t cool like Hud and Hud’s wife, so the enthusiasm around town wasn’t as high.

Now maybe it’s just me, but I’d rather a “boring” coach who puts us in the Top 25. Then again, I’m pretty boring myself.

So APP State sold 11,000 season tickets.

APP St set an arbitrary limit of 11,000 season tickets.

Headline then becomes, “APP St sold out ALL season tickets”

And are Lauded high and wide……

So even teams that sell more season tickets arent lauded and arent doing as good, because it wasnt the max limit of allowed season tickets that they set on themselves?

Why wouldnt season ticket sales remain open until at least 90 % of stadium capacity?

I would rather a Hud with Napier winning records.
