This is such a narrow minded thing to say. So many of the fans that pack the park are families with school aged kids, which is what you need to sustain and grow a fanbase; not the retired ages that can can make every game.
Weekday games? I have to wake my kids up at 6:15 for school the next morning, and they aren’t old enough to be left at home alone for three to five hours at a time. Our youngest had surgery the Friday of the Southern Miss series and couldn’t walk up or down stairs for two weeks. I certainly wasn’t going to force him into Russo Park because a true Cajun fan should make it to the games if they live close enough.
Things come up, and it’s not unreasonable to think that a first class program should broadcast their home games. And this is such a weird stance to take from the guy whose job is to give the play by plays for people who aren’t actually at the game.
