We shouldn’t but if they want to try and use the excuse about money, it comes out to $30 a person. I’ll gladly pay that to make sure I can watch the games I cant attend. I pay a lot already to watch the games, I want to watch them. It actually would only be about $15 a ticket bc we do about half the games already. Arkansas State broadcast all their games and they sitting there with 6 wins and have never done anything in baseball. First it was we had to “share” the crew with softball, that’s a lie they are on the road. Then it was $10k to produce, that was wrong it’s more like $5k. I was simply breaking down how f’n cheap it is to do and how short sighted and small time it is to make excuses to not do it. We are supposedly trying to win nattys in both diamond sports and you can’t even do something that the majority of your conference mates do, not to mention every team that is consistently getting to regionals, supers and CWS does.

This is all bull ____, you guys think the administration and the RCAF. Let's just keep taxing the people that are paying until they won't pay anymore.

You are the ones USLing it.

Doesn’t the school get paid by the conference for the media rights? Why can’t they use that money to cover costs of all home games?

Simply, it does not cover all of the costs to broadcast all sports.

You think it is bad now, just wait for what is coming down the line for RCAF. Everyone is going to love it, eye roll, sarcasm off.

6 times cost= revenue needed to make the showing each game profitable (if not, why do it)
You could probably get away with 4 or 5x the expense.

I pay plenty...a lot. Sorry you have absolutely nothing else to do in life and can attend every home and away Cajun game in every sport...good for you. Maybe we would actually create a secondary ticket market by having more people interested in going. Again, what ____ed you off about the game being on the plus last night? How did it negatively effect you?

So whats the price tag to do commercials to cover the cost of a broadcast? That the real answer. Idk what the local talent cost to do a game or if its worth cutting that expense…but previously mentioned you could use Jay and Top as commentators as some other schools do. That might not be possible with Learfield?

This guy even tries to steal Mel Rock’s tease. Good Lawdy.

I like to have the game streaming even when at the game so when there are close plays and other issues on the field, you have replay and discussions.

There is absolutely no negatives to streaming the games. We are almost at capacity with season tickets unless you want to buy a single ticket. So some of you think it’s a good idea for only those people to be able to watch and take interest in Cajun baseball. Brilliant idea, screams big time program trying to win a natty. You know why there are so many Braves fans around here? It’s not because they grew up attending Braves games.

We are in middle of the conference when it comes to broadcasting games. I’d rather be the standard than average.
