The secret to having a finanacially successful magazine, newspaper, radio program, or TV broadcast is having motivated media content salespeople on staff.
Subsidizing a media content sales force is where you start.
Two bits per ticket sold will do the trick
I tend to lean towards the "get your ass to the ball park" crowd, but I will say this: Your scenario is certainly valid. In fact, I'd bet I've gotten more people to go to Cajuns games by simply having our games on at parties, family gatherings, holidays, etc. There's really no reason why we can't have both.
This is separate from Melrock's comment (I think), but the RCAF is getting a total overhaul. Ground up start over. (You can thank the people that hired Harris & De Leon for that).
I'm not 100% sure what's next but I'm 80% it will be totally controlled by The Foundation. No more shell staff. I think their operations & funding mechanisms will be much more limited in scope. A bureaucrat buffet.
I'm not sure the RCAF can get any more incompetent or feckless. So maybe this isn't the catastrophe that it seems like it is... But it certainly feels bad.
