I wonder if LSU spent much time worrying about who would take over for joe burrow last year?
Every team in the country has a QB getting another year if wanted. It’s not like our backups can just leave and start somewhere else. They get another year of work and end up in the same situation.
17-4 as a starter. First QB in LA history to pass for over 3000 yards in a season. He may not look pretty sometimes, but 17-4 as a starter with 4 games left on the schedule. 17-4 can not be said enough times.......17-4, tell me another QB in UL history that has that record.
Yep. I’m waiting on that list. For your sake I’ll give you mine.
Jake
Brian
LEVI
Broadway
Gautier
Dez
Babb
Just so you know. I never witnessed Brian play. Or anyone else before him.
Another question for the haters? Name the current QBs in the sunbelt you would take over Levi?
I've had the pleasure of watching them all plus quite a few more....Prudhomme, Roy Henry...Everyone on your list has been great in their own unique way. Brian as a freshman couldn't pass, just run and shared time with Richard Panell, another freshman, but worked his butt off to also become a great passing QB to become one of the best option QB's in college history. Oh and DeSormeaux was another phenomenal option QB on that list.
I could go on and on about each one of those QB's, but not one of those can compare to the most important stat their is.....W's, the only one that matters. But everyone on that list were so fun to watch.
I agree fun to watch. I think Levi is a better passer than some give him credit for. I think some of the issue is stereotypical. Short, left handed, and mobile. But he CAN spin it!!
He's got the skills and is a hard worker with great leadership.
Sometimes, he makes some boneheaded mistakes that makes us scratch our heads. But when he gets in a groove, he's fun to watch. Over the past few games, I can tell he looks a lot more comfortable stepping into his throws. Earlier in the season, he was a lot more hesitant. Now, he takes off when he has to; and he's slinging it more down the field.
Now, it would be nice to see him lead us to a conference championship. He's got the potential to do it.
