Turbine, Thank you for cleaning up the post a bit. It did cut off the end ratings though.
Sorry, that didn't post like I wanted.
It's messy looking, I know. This is taken from just the Sun Belt on Passer Rating, top is best. Stats don't tell the whole story, but it does give insight to it.
Different things can be taken from the same set of stats. I know, you are trying to make a case for pass efficiency but, as you said, a number of teams share QB duties. All the players above LL in efficiency have many less pass attempts which will always tend to trend efficiency higher.
Mitchell - our offense would rush for a billion yards with him at the helm and the backs we have
Jake - Threw way more picks as a Cajun then people seem to remember, but he was the best pure QB we have ever had. As evidenced by the fact he was one more possession from winning a Superbowl ring at QB.
Dez - I guess I lose credibility with the poster above, but like #1, we would rush for an ungodly amount of yards with him at QB and the backs/line we have. I also think his passing stats would be better now. Dez was just one of my favorite players to watch ever, a warrior.
Levi - discussed ad naseum. Dude just wins, and makes very few big mistakes. I get some of the criticism, I just don't get the depth of dislike some have for him.
Babb - I could see him as high as third. Also a very very nice guy and great engineer.
Gautier - I just like that dude more than Broadway
Broadway - was best his first year...not sure who's fault that was.
I never saw Henry, I assume he belongs somewhere in that mix but I just never saw him play.
Roy Henry was an amazing QB. Transfer from ND. Best passer we’ve had. Could scramble. Locker room not so much. But for pure QB skills, best we’ve had. For team QB, Mitchell and Delhomme are highest on my list. BUT, each team is different. I think Levi does things within a very complex system very well. This year he may be performing better than last. He had an OL and WRs that are head and shoulders better than this group today. Next year, OL and WRs are gong to match last years. Maybe better. Great depth developing. Also next year I think we’ll see #2 QB coming in for a series as Levi did two years ago. Chandler is special.
By the way he beat a top ranked team
Remember our receivers not helping him much. We don’t have JaMarcus Bradley anymore
I don't think Levi, Dez, or Mitchell running all the time would enhance "this" running game.
That game plan would only trade yardage with the running backs.
Ultimately the offence would be forced to return to the air because defenses would key on the running game.
