If we return the entire offensive line and both Mitchell/Ragas...we could be looking at another extremely special year...if Napier gets his head out of his ___.
17-4 as a starter. First QB in LA history to pass for over 3000 yards in a season. He may not look pretty sometimes, but 17-4 as a starter with 4 games left on the schedule. 17-4 can not be said enough times.......17-4, tell me another QB in UL history that has that record.

Yep. I’m waiting on that list. For your sake I’ll give you mine.

    Jake
    Brian
    LEVI
    Broadway
    Gautier
    Dez
    Babb

Just so you know. I never witnessed Brian play. Or anyone else before him.

Another question for the haters? Name the current QBs in the sunbelt you would take over Levi?

I've had the pleasure of watching them all plus quite a few more....Prudhomme, Roy Henry...Everyone on your list has been great in their own unique way. Brian as a freshman couldn't pass, just run and shared time with Richard Panell, another freshman, but worked his butt off to also become a great passing QB to become one of the best option QB's in college history. Oh and DeSormeaux was another phenomenal option QB on that list.

I could go on and on about each one of those QB's, but not one of those can compare to the most important stat their is.....W's, the only one that matters. But everyone on that list were so fun to watch.

I agree fun to watch. I think Levi is a better passer than some give him credit for. I think some of the issue is stereotypical. Short, left handed, and mobile. But he CAN spin it!!

I can't think of any. Levi leads the league in passing and has won two games with his legs.

He's got the skills and is a hard worker with great leadership.

Sometimes, he makes some boneheaded mistakes that makes us scratch our heads. But when he gets in a groove, he's fun to watch. Over the past few games, I can tell he looks a lot more comfortable stepping into his throws. Earlier in the season, he was a lot more hesitant. Now, he takes off when he has to; and he's slinging it more down the field.

Now, it would be nice to see him lead us to a conference championship. He's got the potential to do it.

App Qb, Zac Thomas. He's a stud.

The RF, McCall at coastal is a star in the making.

But, I'm good with Levi. He isn't playing at the same level as he finished the season last year. He doesn't have the run game we had last year, and he had to break in several young receivers too. I don't think our play calling has helped him at times this season. I think we need to start a game throwing first to set up the run. We did that at tx state and were up 14-0 early. Need to mix it up a bit.

Good list. I would put Brian ahead of Jake. Btw, everyone should take a look at Jake's career stats. I know the game has changed, but if Lewis had Jake's stats he would be riding the bench.
Some people here are forgetting what caliber of QB's a team like UL can attract. All have flaws and/or are not the prototypical size. Like many, I wish Levi would run more, but the dude is small. All of the running QB's we have had other than Mitchell could never make it through a season... and they were all much bigger.
Like someone else said, I see him playing better in spurts. It is just hard when the OL and WR are not as good as last year. Going forward I think Levi will need to run 5-7 times a game to keep defenses honest. We do not have the talent this year to just line up and impose our will on the other team.

PS just so you know. Des was my favorite QB ever. But if you say his name you lose all credibility
Well...now that you mention it. "Everyone gets extra year whether they played or not".. Lol

    Brian Mitchell...flashbacks seeing a #1 run through a defense
    Roy Henry...Gunslinger, with attitude
