Look, this is a great idea, but it is all in the implementation and trust. To me, this is a statement of trust and faith in both Coach Napier and Dr Maggard by the football players. I couldn't care less what outsiders think, this is great for the cULture.

I also believe this will be an outstanding recruiting tool for us. This is in the same vein as Coach Robe molding men, husbands and fathers. If this becomes the motto of our athletic department molding you men and women into men, women, husbands, wives, fathers and mothers we are GOOD TO GEAUX !!

Napier can spin this in a positive way. He can openly say that we believe in this program, our players believe in this program so much so they are donating to it in order to make it better. And as a staff we want to recruit athletes who are willing to invest in to what they are committing too and bet on themselves to make this program better.

When I told 2 coworkers yesterday about this, huge LSU fans, they thought that it was a great idea for establishing a long term relationship with the university. This will be forgotten by Monday. Napier stated today that he mispoke the word,"mandatory". But the players want to do this and it looks like they will.
