bil ryckman's insistence to please not use the term field turf with any descriptions of new surface .. (grins)
ps. a continued small request.. am aware of lawsuits for such tiny inferences at times.. not so much with message boards.. but in the bigger scope of things (sad to report.. but true)
The numbers are the same on both sides, they are perfect. I looked today
I wonder if the weather will push the completion date back
Just got back from " Ajun field". Took a late lunch to be able to go out and look at the field for the first time. Looks good... all the carpet is down. Just a small section in the south endzone left to go... then the application of the mid-field and endzone logos. Can't wait to see it completed.
Once request, though, for Scott Farmer to consider. PLEASE FORCE SOMEONE TO HAVE PRIDE IN THE FACILITY AND GET THE GRASS CUT EVEN THOUGH IT IS THE OFF SEASON! My guess is that the OTHER "Swamp"... you know, the one in Florida... doesn't have weeds all over the place. I bet they consider it "sacred ground" and make a point to keep it looking nice REGARDLESS of what time of year it is!
PS Glad the SEC didn't get a baseball title last night!
That has been my beef for years. We simply take no pride in the appearance of our property and facilities. There is NO EXCUSE for uncut grass and weeds around the complex. That is also my concern for the grass in the upper endzones. We will have a great looking field and lousy looking, unkept grassy upper endzones. Doen't anyone at the athletic department see how horrible this looks on a day to day basis? It is embarrassing to take anyone by our facilities.
