Sucks that the camera is down, seems dry enough for them to be working on the field and i am very anxious to see the endzone work

They were pretty lucky for most of this project that there was good weather. Now it looks like this bad slate of weather is slowing things up right as they near the finish line. Hopefully they can get a break this week and finish up.

Checked it out last night. Getting the letters ready for the end zone will take time. They had the red letters layed out cutting and putting the white trim around them. The letters are about 20'+. They are doing the work under cover by the refreshment stands. After the trim is cut and placed around the letters they will roll them up and bring them to the end zone and set them in place to be glued down. I think they will set the south end zone first. While they doing the north side they will start putting down the silicon sand, triming the turf and securing it to the ledger boards around the concret. Then the goal post...their dead line for the finish product is July 5....another note, the logo "RAGIN CAJUNS" is the largest ever made on a football field.

Yeah, that logo is huge. Too big, in my opinion...but leave it to me to find something to complain about. Otherwise the turf looks great. Can't wait to see its debut on the 16th!

"Ragin' Cajuns" logo looks great. Get out to the field and check it out in person.

Exactly, also once they put the endzone lettering it will level off the color across the whole field and you really wont even notice the black endzone so much because the red lettering will be over powering. Its going to be a vivid field and makes the whole stadium look 75% better. Just wait until the clean this bad boy

I hope the next thing to come is to trim out the whole inner concrete wall with a good ol' chicago style brick or something similar.

What football team has a stadium with a brick wall that goes around? I would like to see how it looks.

I'm hoping for a winning team and season to go with the new field...now that's a start.
