Thread: Relish the Execution

Somebody from the press asked John McKay the coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the time what were his thoughts were on the execution of the offensive line. He said "he thought it was a good idea". It's all a matter of perspective.

Who are the other guys you think have the ability to play at this level? I see Garror being a tough/undersized player and possibly Hill on the DL.

I have no idea how many more games we can win with a defense this bad. Our offense could conceivably control the clock and limit possessions, but against better teams how will we stop them? The stats may not bear it out at the end of the season, but I think this is one of the 3 worst defenses we have had over the past 30 years...and that is saying something.
To beat App St or Ark St I think we have to score in the upper 40's to win.
To beat anyone we'll have to score in the upper forties. If we're not scoring the other is very likely to be scoring.

In refute of your argument several teams needed to punt more than twice vs NMSU. But in support of your argument CCU ignored the punt on a couple of punting situations, so there's that as well.

You may be on to something with the need for the offense to be effective every game. Coach Napier blamed the CC loss on the slow start by the offense which left the defense have the play count go against them late in the game.

Manac is the best defense player on the team.

Thread Title reminds me of John Mckay.

Coach, what are your thoughts on your team's execution today?

    "I'm in favor of it."

Garror, Moncrief, Riley, Butler, Solomon, Dorsey and Manac. McCaskill and Ochoa have been out with injuries. People might have forgotten, but Dorsey, Solomon, Manac and McCaskill will have two years left after this season. All of them have played just one year of JC football, so they have a ton of development ahead of them. Garror, Riley, Moncrief, Butler, Porter and Mapieu are all true freshmen.

Manac will be back this week unless he has some type of setback.
