Thread: Baseball Coach or Life Coach

I have mentioned I have a nephew playing for UNO. He was extremely unsuccessful this year and his family is blaming the coaches. So he has nothing for his experience at UNO. His fault? maybe... Coaches fault? maybe... There are many who go through the a&m@br program and come away with nothing... we all hear about their kids in the bigs.... but we don't hear about those who were run off after coming into the program with 5 star credentials...

I want it all and we have it. It is ridiculous to be even contemplating replacing Robe. I have complete confidence he will turn it around. MAT has another of his "insights from people in the know" that changes are coming. I am sure that is the case. Whatever happens we can't get anyone better. VERY few programs can. Bum Phillips once said "He may not be in a class of his own but it don't take long to call the role".

    We should remember that
I can’t win with you people...

That means a lot. I’ll never forget our long talks at the Corner Bar. I always loved your Mike Lotief impression.

Robe won't follow your suggestions and the administration won't make him blow it up because of it. Granted we all have opinions and suggestions. It's just that in this case the no. who advocate a drastic change are not nearly enough to have any impact whatsoever with the decision makers. Granted such posts do serve the purpose of releasing frustration but that is all they do.

I like the way you protected yourself in that post. Words like unconfirmed, unreliable, and third party tell me that there is only a slight possibility what you imply comes to pass.

    On another note:
    ROI

Since they went up double on the price for baseball tickets, should I as a fan expect double the product on the field.

I know this is not realistic, however after a season like we just had it is hard to swallow.

I guess what I am trying to say is WINNING cures everything and we need to get back to our winning ways or they will be a lot less people in our new palace.

Actually, I didn't think the tickets went up that much. The "donation" did go up quite a bit.

Patio boxes went up double no matter how you slice the pie, either ticket prices and/or RCAF donation.

Double the price a week before the season starts is hard to swallow.

Meant before season tickets went on sell.
