Scott replied that he liked the idea but they didn't think of that. But he did say that if you wanted a piece of it you could go get some. The turf-cam shows that there is some still there this morning Boomer so you still have time to run down and get some.

I got the pieces from the endzone that said "Louisiana" but I didn't get any of the city tag. I guess I can expect the State Police, Barney from the Calcasieu Parish Sherrif's Office and a Quachita Parish Boy Scout with a toothless German Shepard to storm through my front door at any minute now. :>

I'm waiting for them to spend the money on their new turf and them I'm going to send pictures of their illegal endzones to the Board of Regents, and the State attorney General and ride their ass until they or forced to spend the money to replace the endzones and EVERY instance where LOUISIANA appears without the word Lafayette attached to it on public property.

In 1995 for the Louisiana State Legislature passed "Act 45" requiring that at least two state universities change their name at the same time. It also required that all universities who change their name change it to “University of Louisiana at [city designation].” use the city in all official university business which includes details such as font sizes to be used by the respective universities.

This means that it their name appears on ANY publicly funded or controlled building, material, such as uniforms or stationary, as well as their score boards and the PUBLIC ADDRESS SYSTEM, than the CITY must accompany the state name.

I'm going to push this to the top. And I hope it costs them a fortune..."

Just wonder where all this "caring" and "plans to alert the authorities" are coming from if everyone keeps telling us they don't care what we call ourselves. BTW, where was all this concern when ulm had "Louisiana" on their jerseys, helmets, scoreboard, stadium, etc.?
