Also, if your pumps are electric, I hope you get some backup generators. If not and you have a hurricane or something that knocks out electricity for an extended time, you could end up with something that looks like this.

I know there was some discussion about getting backup generators for our pumps. I sure as hell hope they do so our brand new "purty" turf doesn't end up getting screwed up by a hurricane or something.

That was the old field with the big crown. The turf field hardly has any crown, so the whole thing would probably end up underwater if the same scenario as happened during Rita was repeated.

Looks like you have (had?) a nice symmetrical crown on the field.

Man they have some trucks in there today! Nice!

Apparently they fixed the dump truck situation, cause they are steady hauling out dirt...

Track & Field Re: How we doin?

Thanks very much for the update...

I think that Farmer came to UL to make a name for himself as a kingdom builder. He saw the huge upside and potential that UL has, and can accomplish great things with the apparent new commitment to and focus upon athletic excellence...

    I am excited about that...

    He will build it...

    I sure hope so.

I didn't respond to your original email... because I have an opinion on everything UL, but knowledge of nothing UL. PS We outnumber the rest of you... so be careful.

Fact: Over the years a few potholes have developed in the sides of the endzone levees. (Where people sit and kids play)

This would be a good time for the grounds crew to take a few buckets of loose dirt and pour them into those levee potholes.

So... does anyone "In the know" know what the design of the endzones are going to be?

If you go to ragincajuns.com and look at the picture that links you to the camera to watch the swamp get transformed, i believe that is picture that was released on signing day. If i remember it is going to say LOUISIANA in red and it be on a black background. I personally think it would look better if one had a black and the other had a red. (Sorry but this is the only comparison i have, but how LSU does it.)
