Marlin has put his name in for several jobs and has gotten nothing back. The word is he is interested in the Ole Miss job again, and his agent has sent out feelers to gauge the interest. Regardless, I don't want my coaches retiring here in Lafayette on the golf course. If he gets the big payday, then great for him and his family. But, I won't be losing any sleep over it.

He is not interested in the Ole Miss job. He might be interested in Alabama if Avery Johnson winds up with the Pelicans.

Bob is a Mississippi State guy. No way he wants Ole Miss.

I've never waivered in my support of Bob. I've always thought he was doing it the right way but sort of snake-bit. The game is finally paying him back this year. I hope and expect him to stay to continue to build the program.

Memo, we hit the reset button under Coach Marlin twice. Did you have a problem riding in the boat then? He flipped his roster twice before winning 23 games in the 2013-14 season.

I think Bob is a little long in the tooth without great success over multiple seasons. But Ole Miss might be looking for someone with some integrity after multiple failings of late.

Bob marlin whether he stays or goes is a good thing at this point. I personally like his style of play because he makes a point to play defense first how basketball used to be played. Just win and get into the dance! Hopefully all this FBI stuff finishes up and there are a bunch of big schools that are ineligible for the tourney! That would make it very interesting lol!

Nobody said that but thanks for kind of reading....The point was that there are usually two counterpoints to something happening. CajunT mentioned he doesn't want his coaches retiring here which is a pretty agreed upon point amongst the fan base, however, the counterpoint to that is with major bursts of success our coaches will be the first to be poached for larger programs. With that comes risks of what happened at UALR where you are first to worst. That doesn't mean I'm advocating for us to not make a run....LOL

Out of curiosity, where did you see he might be interested in the pelicans or vice versa?
