I'm not convinced the Cajuns would go to either Waco or College Station if LSU doesn't host.
The committee is not thinking this when determining the national seeds. This step in the process is solely based on their assessment of merit (even if you do not agree with their definition of merit).

I agree re:Missouri. It is unfortunate that LSU is not required to face someone like Ole Miss ... or even South Carolina in the opener.

That said, if the Cajuns get South Alabama/Texas State/Texas State ... and go undefeated ... the Cajuns could catch LSU in the RPI.

Looks like you've seen the projections.

For those who didn't know softball bracketology was a thing: https://t.co/g5G338GrAJ

Yikes. Let's hope that's not the case. Baylor with s current 10 RPI only the 16 seed? In that case, no thanks to Waco.

It seems to me that you are basing your analysis on what may happen strictly on how the rpi rankings turn out. I'm trying to calculate by what the committee has already shown us. The 2 top 10 reveals they have released show they are not using the rpi like the be all and end all of their decisions. Minnesota has not been in the top 10 of the rpi, but the committee has them at #8 in the first release and #7 in this past one. Baylor has been in the top 10 of the rpi for several weeks but they were not even mentioned as under consideration for the top 10 in this last release (Oklahoma and Utah were). It's my feeling that the committee will still lean more in favor of the power teams, especially the SEC and PAC 12 teams, than James Madison, Brigham Young or us.

For some reason, our schedule was not as strong as it has been, for this we will pay a price. But I like this team, after all we lost to graduation they have not missed a beat. Defense and team speed are solid. We have been hitting really well until this past weekend. Looking for the WCWS...GEAUX CAJUNS

All of these discussions are missing the thing most important to the NCAA in determining which bubble team gets awarded a regional. And that is how much money did they bid to host a regional. That is probably the first thing that gets looked at.

Probably? Based on what? I am pretty sure you are completely wrong on this.

Money hasn't been a determining factor in many years for softball or baseball. Meet the minimum bid requirements and facility requirements and you are good to go.

Does the committee put any weight on attendance and quality of facilities when determining seeds?
