The most important two sentences in that bio (in my opinion) as it relates to our needs:
Under his guidance, the athletic department has experienced over $380 million dollars in renovations and construction of athletic facility projects. He also spearheaded the renegotiations of a 10 year multi-media rights agreement with Outfront Media Sports.
Like another poster stated earlier. I don't have any issue with an outsider from LSU, meaning he's not a Louisiana native and know your place type guy. My biggest issue with anyone out of LSU right now is that he/she was under the guidance of the worst P5 AD in the country.
I liked the OU guy with Acadiana roots. But any of the 3 finalist are good. IMO.
I liked the OU guy's background too.
His experience is perfect for this job, had a letter of recommendation from Terry Don, and with his roots being here, he would have settled in and stayed forever, not jumping at the first P5 opportunity if he's successful here.
I guess we'll see how it all plays out with the guy who is hired. I guess if whomever is hired is lured away to a P5 in a few years, we will be headed in the right direction, but will have to make another great hire. But losing people because of great success here is a good problem to have.
