The final cut are all qualified candidates. This ain't your daddy's USL incestuous hire.. I was floored when I found out how many people actually applied here.

But, like I said yesterday, they have their man. The committee especially likes a particular guy, as do the coaches.

His age is ok. Don't want a retread or someone riding off to retirement. My ONLY problem is Joe Aleva promoted him. As I stated in another post LSU was lazy hiring Ogeron and JJ. What assurances he wasn't one?

Anyone vet his family ties yet?

And does he have to be waterboarded to get him to say UL or Louisiana?

Like another poster stated earlier. I don't have any issue with an outsider from LSU, meaning he's not a Louisiana native and know your place type guy. My biggest issue with anyone out of LSU right now is that he/she was under the guidance of the worst P5 AD in the country.

I liked the OU guy with Acadiana roots. But any of the 3 finalist are good. IMO.

I think that is an important point. How much does he want to come here as vs. how much does he want to get away from the LSU AD.
