Their linemen dominated ours at almost every position. That was easy to assess yesterday and that is mostly due to superior talent/stronger more agile athletes. Don't fool yourself. Players make plays, and there wasn't much of that going on yesterday. It's not blaming the athlete, I think they played hard and I know they work their tails off in practice. It's just the reality of where we are talent wise compared to the likes of a team like Boise.
I'll ask again, does App St have more talent than Tennessee?
What's the next excuse, we're young? BS.
App St and UL have similar talent. App St knows how to develop and coach. And scheme and prepare. That is the difference.
Name a WR, RB, QB, TE, LB, CB, S that was recruited out of HS and developed into a very good player. I'll wait. Eli, Blaine, TB, Jennings, Robinson, Peoples and Zo are exempt. Zo and Eli are superior talents that needed nothing but the football in their hands. The rest of those guys were groomed under other staffs.
There is not a coach I can think of who has not lost when the talent he used to have he no longer has. Lombardi being an exception, Tom Landry, Don Shula, Hank Stram, Bear Braynt, Bobby Bowden, Jo Paterno, all owe their careers to being outstanding coaches and having great talent, all lost when the talent dried up.
Yes App has more, and better players than UL.
Reading this sounds like a LSU board ranting about Les Miles. Wow.
Don't worry when the b itching quits the stands will be empty. Come on man, what do you think this board is for? It's a cross view of how the fans see their program at any one time. Right now, and for the past year it has been a bad program.
