I hope I'm proven wrong as the year progresses but I'm just not seeing many studs on this team.
Sorry CD, but you had no way of assessing our talent yesterday. Football, at its best, is orchestrated good athletes. You lose orchestration, you can't see the athletes. I can absolute guarantee you that Eli and AJ are up there with the best Boise athlete. Boise is a finely tuned set of good athletes. The athlete isn't just running faster or leaping higher. He is part of a set of gears that all together carry a very large load. UL is a made of loose gears thrown out on a football field to "scrap it out". It's a bad joke. Athletes themselves don't know what we're talking about. They'll shoulder a lot of blame this week. But they shouldn't. That was a coaching joke.

We should have lost. Let's not get silly. But let's also know... Boise could have held us to 3... and added 14 to 21 more to their score. Our coaching didn't have us ready for anything but sandlot football. Don't blame a single athlete. They can't make up for bad coaching... and none ever will.

Like Bustle, Hud was the right hire at the time it was made. He needed to move onto another job for us to keep momentum. The program has regressed every year since year 2.

--- again just doing his job averaging 7 yards in 3 carries----Some would be s____ed for doing a really good job and getting pulled right out of the game---not saying he shouldn't have been (that is the coach)---the attitude is that of the player and that is what I saw---a team player who does his job!!!

So are the other players. Nixon isn't special, except in your mind.

I was pretty ____ed that Davis didn't even move to warm up when Jennings went down.

Well why would he move to warm up, Nixon is second string.

I was thinking Davis was supposed to be #2.

That's what Hud does. Wants one kind of QB...and only one kind. Everyone else...____ their development. I feel sorry for Jordan Davis, and Dion Ray.

Their linemen dominated ours at almost every position. That was easy to assess yesterday and that is mostly due to superior talent/stronger more agile athletes. Don't fool yourself. Players make plays, and there wasn't much of that going on yesterday. It's not blaming the athlete, I think they played hard and I know they work their tails off in practice. It's just the reality of where we are talent wise compared to the likes of a team like Boise.

Talent isn't the problem. Coaching is the problem.
