I come from a different era. When I hear "Shultz" I hear "I Know Nothing!"

And best of all, the man speaks english.. Dave has really worked his way into my listening day.

I get TTT is an OCCASIONAL filler for the doldrums of mid summer before the football preseason camps open. Every week, no. And I'll listen to DS and the Astros report and turn off the speculation bs @ UL. Give me facts...anyone. I've started listening to 90.9...keeps me from cursing while driving.

As you know I'm an older fan. I went all in decades ago, motor home @ games before tail gating caught on. Life and health drifted me away from UL. Came back a few years ago. Same old same old. I think the situation is deeper than anyone can imagine. It's the set up of the state system, hard to stand up and be independant. As much as I am unhappy with several things, it could be a hell of a lot worse...imagine a LSU puppet in charge. But I am not "warm and fuzzy" over any of this. Tiger lover on RCAF...fox in hen house, no loyalty. It is up to the younger fans to get a grip on this...whatever it is. Athletic leadership...we get what we pay for. Then again Ulmost hired a dynamic guy...who is now pretty much shelved for a bubba. We're not alone.

All I am 100% sure about is there would not have been utility markings on the ground near the concession area the Monday of the AZ game @ the Tigue if this was not going forward in some form.

And we might not be the only one that is a victim of their system. Look at Coastal...their mascot is a rooster, just like their state premiere university. No pun intended, but I have a feeling CCU and UL are birds of a feather. They have been getting jacked over their football stadium.

I take the Alden Report with a grain of salt. Rule number one when you hire a consultant...you tell the consultant what you want the report to say. That's the part I'm yet to figure out. Only time will show us, speculation on my part won't.

Sorry to rant, been my MO lately.

Or you hire a consultant to advise you on expertise you lack. We lack a lotta expertise in sports marketing, branding, fund raising.

Shultz and 103.7 have put a legitimate product on the air and are currently making Moone Head Jay Walker and his cracker box radio station sound like it is run out of a garage.

And I was totally against Shultz when he hit the air. I was a 1420 die hard. Times are changing. Moon head's ego and the incredible depth he has his head up Farmer's ___ is going to ruin his career and the company that over pays him.

I agree... I was sitting in a customers office a while back and he was listening to 103.7 and so I asked him if he actually like it because I hadn't tuned in since Schultz was kinda new when he rubbed me the wrong way. He said that it was much different and his attitude toward us had changed so I gave it a listen. Only time I listened to 1420 in the spring was an occasional 10-11...Wednesday's with Bab and Saturday with robe. I'm interested to see what 103.7 is like during football because I really like foote during football season bit 1420 has become unbearable. It's terrible talk every day... Not just Tuesday.

I agree. I couldn't stand him for a long time but I am coming around. Much prefer his show and Ben Love to 1420 offering these days.

Plus I gave up on listening to Divas so that means 3-5pm on 1420 out

I bet some of the guest are "not caring" about you Faceless Buffoon Sheeple talking schit about that staticky-walkie talkie station.......

My source says that 1420's days are numbered. AM Radio is the equivalent of a pay phone. Nobody uses it anymore, if you have to use it, you must be within the booth to hear it, and it's cheap.

So that begs the question; why don't they shift to fm?

  9. Default Re: Any updates on Cajuns in the minor leagues?

The FM stations are for more popular shows. The actual games are FM/AM. Softball AM with occasional FM. Coaches shows AM.

All are available on the pup. Since most here prefer ESPN III to cable I'm thinking that should hold true for radio.

These guys got complacent when they were the only game in town. People are tired of the pompous attitudes, turrible programming and poor signal strength.
