HS player, "coach, I received a letter from Coach Hud, he seems really interested in me."
HS coach, " Nope he cannot come around here, forget it, forget a scholarship."
HS player, " Thanks coach"
I know nothing about Katy and what they will do.
I do know the coaches here felt very limited as to what they could do with Haack because of his limited skill set. The reason they didn't change the offense to a spread em and throw it is because they didn't think Haack was capable. I have had several opportunities to watch brooks in 7 on 7 pass drills and have never seen where he is the passer folks here have methodically made him out to be. He was a good high school QB but that did not translate to the college game, that happens all the time. How will you spin it when he shines the pine at NWST? (I like the kid, this is not personal just an evaluation)
Without that limited skill set...we only win 2 games last year. Giving that limited skill set an actual offense that played to his strengths would have mean more than 4 wins last year. Not ____ing around with the depth chart leaving his limited skill set on the bench for games while you try out a running back at the QB position (is that the limited skill set you are talking about?) would possibly have given us more wins last year. You still feel comfortable with your limited skill set bull____? The first three words of your post tell every goddamn thing we need to know about your opinion.
I do not like the fact that we did that to a young man. I also wonder if the article would have been written when it was done by UT? Would that coach block UT from campus for the same offense? What about when it is done by Lamar?
