I feel sorry for the young man, I really do but he also left another school in his path. He broke his original commitment. Non story to me.

Katy ain't gonna send us another player. Haack led them to a High School State Championship and a mythical National High School Championship.
He was not given every opportunity to earn the job. We didn't give him an opportunity to excel by using his strengths within the framework of our system.
In fact the staff sabotaged him IMO. Best passer we have had since JVC and he only throws the ball 10 or 12 times within the Redzone.
I don't want to rehash what went down here, but Katy ain't gonna do us any favors from here on out. They supply the big boys. They don't need to help us out.
This is a non story. This coach saying that UL won't be allowed on his campus is the same issue I have with high school baseball coaches in this area. They try to control these kids from the time they enter the middle school programs. If a kid wants to play for UL and the coach won't let UL on campus, it will end bad for the high school coach. Same thing happened with a baseball player I know that is now at Troy. School coach told a certain D1 coach not to come to a game because he wouldn't pitch. Prevented D1 coach from seeing the other players on the team. Player transferred the next season from his school.
Also goes both ways. Basketball player I grew up with was undecided on college to attend. Jessie Evans tried to get his family/coach not to allow other schools at his games. That pretty much got Ul off his list. Player ended up at LSU playing for coach Brady, even though I tried to recruit him to UL.
HS player, "coach, I received a letter from Coach Hud, he seems really interested in me."
HS coach, " Nope he cannot come around here, forget it, forget a scholarship."
HS player, " Thanks coach"
I know nothing about Katy and what they will do.
I do know the coaches here felt very limited as to what they could do with Haack because of his limited skill set. The reason they didn't change the offense to a spread em and throw it is because they didn't think Haack was capable. I have had several opportunities to watch brooks in 7 on 7 pass drills and have never seen where he is the passer folks here have methodically made him out to be. He was a good high school QB but that did not translate to the college game, that happens all the time. How will you spin it when he shines the pine at NWST? (I like the kid, this is not personal just an evaluation)
Without that limited skill set...we only win 2 games last year. Giving that limited skill set an actual offense that played to his strengths would have mean more than 4 wins last year. Not ____ing around with the depth chart leaving his limited skill set on the bench for games while you try out a running back at the QB position (is that the limited skill set you are talking about?) would possibly have given us more wins last year. You still feel comfortable with your limited skill set bull____? The first three words of your post tell every goddamn thing we need to know about your opinion.
