Maybe it is me but he does not look athletic in any way. IMO UL already has a few too many very slow lineman with massive dead weight girths on this team.
I dont feel bad at all. Coaches are expected to win....every lineman we signed is a better prospect than him....and this cuts both ways. That head coach in Beaumont would not have said squat if UT or A&M would have done this
My only thought about this article was the timing of the rescission of the offer. If UL rescinded its offer 2 months out or so from signing day, then I am ok. That would give him and his coach enough time to get on the phone and run some other traps for offers. However, If UL rescinded a week or less from signing day, then it was a crappy move on their part.
Having experienced college recruiting first hand, albeit in another sport, Z is right in that it is a rough business. I know athletes that have had offers pulled and in every instance, it has always been ugly. Lots of hurt feelings from the athlete and their family. The institution that rescinded the offer is almost always dogged out publically by the offended party and family. I can say that in almost every instance that I am aware of, the offer was rescinded by a coach who was coming off of a losing season and/or who was in the hot seat in regards to his job performance.
The kid did tell LTUR sorry I'm not honoring my commitment, right?
Not sure why he threw Hud under the bus, I'm sure it was a consensus decision.
However IF the article is accurate and Munoz blamed Going Juco, then he still misspoke.
With the pending NCAA sanctions, they mandated that UL rescind 3 offers.
The only area where we never pulled an offer was our 7 Parish area......don't crap in your own nest
Unfortunate for both parties involved..
