I did grow up...about 20 minutes into the second quarter. I realized we are who we are. Yes, it took 20 years and literally thousands of dollars to do it, but I grew up.

Jumping off the bandwagon would refer to a bandwagon to begin with. We have never had one, will never have one (in the forseeable future). Go ahead, it's your bandwagon, take it if you want it, drive it blindly down the road of utter uselessness and right into the ocean of reality. I'm done.

I just wish reality would have struck me in the face of a mediocre 2nd quarter a long time ago!

Of course our backups are not as mobile as Michael Desormeaux. The problem is we do not have backup QB who can run the type of offense we currently have in place. This offense relies heavily on Mike's ability to make plays with his legs. Now that I've said that let me say this. Why not call some plays where you bring in Morel, who has a strong arm and have Des and Fenroy line up on either side of him or have Des line up in the slot. This way you have a QB with a stronger arm and you have two playmakers in as well. We have to give ourselves options and I don't think we've done a good job of that this season. Our offense appears very limited in what it can do.

I cannot ignore the fact that so far into Bustle's 6th year; he has the exact same track record that Frank Beamer had a Virginia Tech. Beamer won only 2 games in his 6th year.

Is that satisfactory? Not even close, it is terrible, and I bet the VT fans were saying the exact same thing many of us are saying today. But ask them if they are glad Beamer was given a 7th year.

Yes its true, 1 of the Virginal Tech 19992 wins was against a non D1a school (and UL lost in that category) but for VT it was to open the season. You can't tell me that if UL played against McNeese like they did in the season opener they wouldn't have won.

The other VT win of 1992 came against lowly Temple who only had a 1 win of its own that year. The VT fans HAD to feel the exact same way you feel right now. Terrible and angry.

The only difference between the Bustle and Beamer situations is Beamer had a lot more to work with when he started at VT. Bustle had less than 40 players on scholarship. You simply cannot ignore that.

Also Beamer did not have to contend with TEN, 11 football playing universities in his state. How Bustle has stayed pace with Beamer I do not know, I know he deserves 1 more year. I’m not going to go into how great Virginia Tech became after Beamer’s 6th year.

Another reason for 1 more year.
You have to give Bustle another year because you can't let a lame duck president pick the next football coach. Not when he is the same u that picked Baldwin. The UL football coach has to have 100% backing from the next president, and he will only get it if:
(a) UL has a big winning season next year.
(b) The incoming President hand picks, or at least authorizes the next football coach hiring.

That is just my opinion take it with a grain of salt. No I'm not satisfied.

Dude, I feel you on the bandwagon thing it just that all my life I've been a UL fan and I not about to quit.
