I think that with the 3 current quarterbacks & 2 (freshmen that look to be strong), John just became the odd man out.

MD was a freshman when that thing got started and not long after that he drove through a tree. I know you not saying he should have done something then.
LaGrid, don't sweat the message board small stuff....
CP, trust me! I know how you feel!! There is nothing worse than having a feeling of despair, and unfortunately their is, judging from the comments I have read, an overabundance of that feeling amongst the fans.
I, too, am feeling a little down by our performance Saturday night. The feeling is that of our pride being hurt in losing to a long time rival. One the vast majority of us felt would succumb to our perceived better talent. After the first two games which, except for a few miscues, could have been wins left us with the feeling that a win over Mc Neese was assured.
Well it did not pan out the way we thought it would. I don't have despair any despair over this loss! My despair happened some years ago when my wife came down with cancer. She fought through the first occurrance, only to have it reappear some where else in her body. Her chance of survival was 5%. Six children and she was facing an end that was almost assured. Now that was despair. But she is a strong person and did not give in to the dreaded disease. She survived to give her love and attention to her family.
In thinking back, I was the weak one. I was thinking of how I was going to cope with a large family, and bringing the children through the expected traumatic experience. I was thinking of myself. To this day I am ashamed of that. I vowed never to be in despair again.
The point I am attempting to make is that this game we lost the other night is just that, a game. Certainly, disappointment is a result. That is natural, and we would not be human if we were not disappointed. We have choices to make. We can give up, or we can collectively gather and support our team. In the event of continued losing there will be changes. But in this event we have to collectively support the changes.
A house divided cannot stand!!
While mildly disturbing, that group is now old news. Let's put it in the past and support the cajuns. Mike is the qb, end of story. What is worse is my own negativity in the last few days, conference play starts this weekend and I will be there with my friends. Let's give 'em hell, UL!
I should have made that trek some time ago. I really got lucky...I even got to meet Rhineaux. Oh well, you know the old saw...I would much rather be lucky than good!!
I wish you could have made the trek Saturday. The number of visitors at the Krewe's site was unbelievable. There were McNeese fans, and fans from all over having a blast. At any one time there were no less than seventy folks sampling the food, beverage of choice, the music and our special brand of joie de vie.
Cher, we passed a good time yeah!
Make the trek, and tow Rhineaux along.
