Boomer, You will love the caption under the picture in this story.
I'm in Boomer's corner. These type of editing drops are 100% intentional. Dont ask me to respect any organization that blatantly chooses to mock and disrespect my Cajuns.
This isnt about Luke (dude is talented) it is the establishment that continually chooses mockery over respect.
Anyone else having trouble opening the link?
Relax for one second fellas. Cut lines are written by photographers who don't always know better and sometimes mistakes make their way through. I'm going in to fix it now.
Not everything you see is blatant mockery. People sometimes make mistakes.
Luke is a fantastic writer. I read the online articles and follow him on twitter. His employer has chosen to take a stance with the name situation. He cannot control that stance. I suppose their stance is strictly business related...since their main market is BR. _____ing at Luke about it won't change a thing. The only thing that will affect a business decision is business. I will not buy that paper until they follow the media instructions we send out. I only read the online content because the writing is just so great. As soon as Luke moves on I suspect they won't even get the click throughs from me. The only way to fight this particular battle is with your pocketbook. They made a choice. So will I. Nothing personal against Luke...just like him having to use the -Lafayette is nothing personal against us.
Fixed.
And if anyone still feels like they want to get up in arms over the cutline, before I fixed it, it started out with: Lafayette quarterback Brooks Haack.
Again. Mistakes happen. I apologize for the oversight on the paper's part, but seriously y'all, not everything that happens is a slap in the face with intent to harm. That being said, if y'all have an issue with anything in the story, I'd be glad to hear the feedback there.
Everyone have a great weekend, and y'all feel free to send me a message on twitter with the locations of y'all's tailgates. I want to actually meet some of y'all this year.
Thanks Luke.
I wonder how many of you have stopped watching ESPN? I will read Luke's articles over watching ESPN or reading anything that other guy writes. Better information and at least it is accurate.
