I wonder how many times boomer has called out tjoe to his face about his UL-L and changing the scoreboard for Monroe? When he is at all those big donor dinners and facility tours and flights on away games? Your wife's company donates thousands of dollars to support a president that doesn't even call us what we want and you botching about a newspaper? So tired of this stupid ___. C'mon guys, can we give the name deal a rest for one second and talk about the actual article for once? I want us to be called Louisiana as much as anyone, but this article wasn't posted to have the only comments about it be complaining about the name under the caption. A single comment about how the caption needs to be changed would suffice.

In terms of the article, I agree that the Akron game will be a true measuring stick of our passong game and offense in general. Akron's defense held Oklahoma to 17 points in the 1st half and 100 total yards rushing the whole game, their stud back Samaje Perine to 33 yards on 11 carries. Pitt was also held to 148 rushing, however Akron's pass defense seems susceptible, giving up a total of 536 yards to starting qbs from Pitt and Oklahoma, and those qbs going a combined 32/50.

I think this is the game we see if Brooks Haack is the passer many think he is. The weapons are there in robinson, fuse, Haynes, barnes, scott, and eli in the passing game. If we can pass protect I think he goes for big yardage next Saturday.

I wonder how many of you have stopped watching ESPN? I will read Luke's articles over watching ESPN or reading anything that other guy writes. Better information and at least it is accurate.

Yep and in my opinion the advocates decision to not call us Louisiana is because of the backlash they would get from LSU and other LA school's fans and officials outweighs the opposite, not because they are mocking us. Same as ESPN.

I can and do take all the "ULL's" and Louisiana-Lafayette's. What is not acceptable is "Lafayette," esp from a paper 50 miles from us that knows better. And especially with a picture that clearly shows the correct brand of "Louisiana" spread all across his uniform. VERY hard to understand how that could have been just be an 'oversight.'

Yeah, because no one at ESPN ever calls us Lafayette....at least Luke has corrected it, we can't even get ESPN to acknowledge it...

I've worked around people long enough to know that if you have made a huge mistake because you didn't know much about something...you will always get the same line spoken to you..."why didn't you ask someone who does?"

If you can't see how that could slip through the cracks, then I can't help you. And it wasn't from a paper 50 miles away, it was from a photographer who works five blocks from campus. I understand y'all's issue with the name and how we use it in the paper, I really do. But this was an honest mistake, and to see it as malicious or intentful is just ... I don't know, paranoid I guess.
