Absolutely spot on. If someone doesn't pay for the paper, so be it. Luke is writing fine articles on our programs... and they reach an audience way beyond what people on here comprehend... and generate massive positives for our school. The Advocate is not going to be an advocate for our name issue. And it is highly hypocritical to bash them when our own university leadership has failed to take a clear concise stance on the athletic branding name... and they certainly have done little to manage it properly with the media.

Even in the city so many love to hate... Baton Rouge people are bending to the appreciation and respect for our institution. Much of that is the exposure via The Advocate by Luke's articles. I have to believe this is taking place in the entire state. It is a massive positive for us. The name issue for all of those outsiders is irrelevant. Once we are recognized as the most powerful university in this state, second only to LSU... the people that are not necessarily our fans... will neutralize on issues we then press for. We need their neutralization. We will not get their advocacy on our name. But if we don't completely ostricize them, they may just reconsider our requests at some point.

It's time some UL supporters behave intelligently. You do not shoot a horse carrying your baby just because the horse got shoed in a different parish. Get your head out of your ___ and appreciate Luke for what Luke does for us.

If our line continues to progress and as our defense gets used to having the wraps taken off...I can see us getting real good real quick. I'm as excited as I've been for a Cajun season to play out. I'm looking over my shoulder at that damn injury bug though...
There's no way to predict the injury bug's time and place of attack. Outside of proper stretching, rest and hydration and some elements of discipline... we have to consider that we are no more apt to be injured and limited as the opponents we face. I'm glad we have a week off. It came at a good time.

Brian Kinchen repeatedly said Haack will need to become more comfortable throwing into smaller windows than he did verses NSU. He felt Haack chose the safer run to daylight instead of potential pass completion.

All I have to say is run Haack run. Do not fear the daylight. I've seen too many big armed quarterbacks pass up a sur first down for the bigger pass play. The often get to head to the sideline.

Wait I thought hack couldn't run

Not his primary asset. Most of those runs were through huge holes.

I never see Peyton manning run through huge holes... Haack can run plenty well enough, like I've been saying for 3 years

He must have missed that needle Haack threaded on the comeback to Fuse. If the defender doesn't dry hump Gabe with no call, he completes 100% of his passes. He fitted it in there just right. So Kinchen has a problem with him getting 10 yards on a wide open run over forcing a pass?

We're not taking advice from Kinchen. Haack's runs so far have been outstanding. Each has been effective... and they give every future defense more things to consider. If defenses give him big space... he'll take the yards... but he might just pull up and throw a strike to a wide opener receiver. Haack has all the wheel speed we need out of a solid passer with good vision and instincts.

Yep we get it, your faux outrage on the name. But you will never direct your outrage towards the policy maker in this matter.

This will never happen because he and Cajun-fan don't want to acknowledge that Dr. Savoie was never consistent on the policy regardless of any proof provide.
