Somebody (not me of course) needs to make it a point to get a bunch of pictures from everywhere mid 2nd quarter next game to get a true indication.

This is true. 20 minutes to kickoff, the lines to get in were almost out to West Congress. Just think how bad it would be if the "reported" attendance was 37k. Need more scanners/ gates to enter

The stadium seats 36,900. With an attendance of 26,824, it means the the stadium was at 73% capacity. Just looking at the picture, I do think the count was off. But I don't think it was way off.

The 36,900 does not include the grass in the north end zone and the people that are standing along the fences and in the concession area. I intentionally looked around at the numbers involved and it isn't a small number by any means.

Yeah I understand that, but when I look around in that picture and I try to find sections in the stadium where more than 1 in 4 seats are occupied, there ain't that many.

People see what they want to see. I was there (just like most of you), and the congestion was closer to Southern than it was to LaTech last year.

From the photo, my guess would be if you took everyone standing around the concourse area and seated in the north end zone and put them in seats in the west and south end zone you would easily fill the empty seats. That would leave the empty upper deck and the empty student side to determine how far off the 36,900 seats available we would be.
