And yes Steve Hale would serve this university 100 times better as our AD then head of RCAF, but that shouldn't preclude him from the interview process.
Can anyone give the specifics of Farmer's contract? I tried looking up how many years are left but couldn't find anything. It might not be a firing if his contract runs out soon.

I agree he should be interviewed, but if he's acquaintances with many on the board and (it sounds like) most of the coaches want him, does he really need the interview? Possibly most higher ups don't feel like he needs an interview and has always been a shoe-in.

Maybe his true "interview" was on BJ's show last night for the public.

What if the RCAF board members really want Hale, not as the ED of RCAF, but as the actual AD? From the interview and his resume, we all know he has the capabilities of being AD. I'm sure the board members know this as well.

Perhaps they are planning on Scott moving on, voluntarily or involuntarily, and would like Hale to be the replacement? Maybe one of the 5 finalists is someone Hale wants in that ED position to work with when he becomes AD?

    Keep trying though.. its cute.
In one breath you say it's not snarky, and in the very next breath you accuse him of being unintelligent. Do you even realize what you're saying?

I gotta be real honest with you. The way you've consistently bad mouthed fellow Cajun fans and players who didn't do a single thing to deserve it is really sad. I honestly don't know many people here, but I've seen you say terrible things to a handful of fans I do know, some of whom have done more to help this program than you ever could. And they way you've consistently gone out of your way to personally attack our players is equally sad. People like you make me ashamed to be a Cajuns fan.

No, this has nothing to do with Steve Hale or the administration. By all means say what you want about the situation. But maybe you should consider not being so incredibly ugly towards so many good UL fans and players.

Or if the board has no authority to replace or even have the slightest influence over Scott Farmer then the biggest requirement for the new guy may be to work along side Scott Farmer.

If for some confidential reason a candidate is projected to be at odds with SF from the start, then he might be disqualified for that reason alone. Just a thought.

Our AD has 11/2 years left on his contract and RCAF does not hire AD's, that decision will be made by the President of the university.

I see a golden opportunity for Farmer to push for Hale. He would have a shoulder to lean on in any big decision he feels under qualified for. It's the dream opportunity for anyone trying to be an AD when you don't have the skills to truly be one. This is extremely short sighted by him. He has a golden parachute...and isn't smart enough to realize it.

It still amazes me that Savoie extended his contract for another 2 years with a raise no less. Unbelievable!!!

From an outside view...he has presided over a very successful program. On the inside...the majority of the fanbase can see he is very under qualified to lead this program. I can't fault Savoie for extending him. But I can't see how Savoie expects to move the program forward with Farmer at AD.

If the conference model of doing things comes to an end... and we have rocked along just like we are doing now... being 'comfortable' ... we will be perceived like??????? Troy, ULM, GaSt .... etc.

If we get proactive now and work to get our associations now with Cincinnati, Memphis, ECU... in 10 years when the conference model fades away we will be perceived like???? Cincinnatti, Memphis and ECU.

Which of those models do you think will better serve us in the new age of college football?
