i think if we go 12-0 we get in the access bowl. the access bowl is not the playoff, there is a big differnce. there is a spot saved for the top G5 program in the access bowl, if we are 12-0 i believe we are there.

If Kentucky goes 3-9, Akron goes 2-10, Tech goes 5-7 and the Sun Belt has its typical year, we don't sniff the Access Bowl.

UL is perceived poorly because the Execs and people that make decisions that matter know that our leadership is small time, particularly the hoot owl.

Naw...we comfy. The Sun Belt is like that chair you keep around because it has sentimental value...but we all know it's killing your back. You think you have to keep it...because losing that chair will mean you lose a part of yourself. T-Joe & Farmer...we need a new chair.

When politics, or the good ole boy network is playing a role into the hiring process, you get someone like Jerry Baldwin, when experience and hiring the best candidate for the job you get someone like Mark Hudsbeth.

I know nothing about what is going on with this hire, I also don't have any inside information, so I can't say who is the best candidate, but this position should be based on merit, not whether this person is connected with the administration.

It's funny.

One of the big picture items I took away from that interview was that it's not your conference, it's YOU.

Your brand. Your revenue streams. Your sustainability.

I came away from the interview feeling better about our current circumstances than before. We are in a much better position than most of our peers to deal with this future landscape.
